Abstract

Pelaporan dugaan efek samping obat merupakan komponen penting farmakovigilans, tetapi partisipasi masyarakat masih dapat terhambat oleh rendahnya pengetahuan tentang gejala yang perlu dicurigai dan cara melapor. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi Monitoring Efek Samping Obat (MESO) serta memperkenalkan jalur pelaporan yang aman kepada pengunjung Car Free Day Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Minggu, 16 November 2025 mulai pukul 06.00 WITA oleh delapan mahasiswa S1 Farmasi dengan pendampingan dosen. Metode meliputi penyuluhan langsung, penjelasan menggunakan banner dan brosur, pembagian media edukasi, serta tanya jawab. Materi mencakup pengertian efek samping obat, tanda yang perlu diwaspadai, informasi yang perlu dicatat, tindakan awal yang tepat, dan pelaporan melalui tenaga kesehatan, pemilik izin edar, atau aplikasi
e-MESO 2.0 Badan POM. Evaluasi dilakukan secara deskriptif berdasarkan keterlaksanaan kegiatan dan dokumentasi, tanpa pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan terlaksana sesuai rencana dan menghasilkan media edukasi serta komunikasi langsung dengan masyarakat. Edukasi di ruang publik layak digunakan sebagai langkah awal peningkatan literasi farmakovigilans, tetapi kegiatan berikutnya perlu menambahkan evaluasi kuantitatif, simulasi pelaporan, dan kode QR menuju e-MESO 2.0.

 

Abstract

Suspected adverse drug reaction reporting is an essential component of pharmacovigilance, yet public participation may be limited by poor knowledge of warning signs and reporting procedures. This community service activity aimed to provide education on adverse drug reaction monitoring and introduce safe reporting pathways to visitors of the Car Free Day event in North Lombok Regency. The activity was conducted on Sunday, 16 November 2025, from 06:00 Central Indonesian Time by eight undergraduate pharmacy students under faculty supervision. The methods included face-to-face counselling, explanations using a banner and brochure, distribution of educational materials, and a question-and-answer session. The content covered the meaning of adverse drug reactions, warning signs, information that should be recorded, appropriate initial actions, and reporting through health professionals, marketing authorization holders, or the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority e-MESO 2.0 platform. Evaluation was descriptive and focused on implementation and documentation; no pre-test or post-test was conducted. The planned activities were completed and produced educational media and direct communication with the public. Public-space education is feasible as an initial approach to improve pharmacovigilance literacy. Future programs should incorporate quantitative evaluation, reporting simulations, and a QR code linked to e-MESO 2.0.
