Information for Authors

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts to Lumbung Pengabdian Kesehatan (JLP). The journal publishes community service articles in the field of health, including health education, health promotion, community empowerment, public health programs, pharmacy-related community service, training, mentoring, and other applied activities that provide a positive impact on society.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors are strongly encouraged to read and follow the journal’s Focus and Scope, Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics, Copyright Policy, and Article Template. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the review process.

Manuscript Requirements

Authors must ensure that:

  1. The manuscript is original and has not been previously published.
  2. The manuscript is not being considered for publication in another journal.
  3. The manuscript is relevant to the focus and scope of Lumbung Pengabdian Kesehatan (JLP).
  4. The manuscript follows the official journal template.
  5. The manuscript file is submitted in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.
  6. The manuscript uses clear academic language and follows scientific writing standards.
  7. All tables, figures, images, and documentation are placed in the appropriate sections of the manuscript.
  8. All cited references are listed in the reference section.
  9. URLs or DOI links for references are provided where available.
  10. The manuscript complies with the journal’s ethical and bibliographic requirements.

Types of Manuscripts

Lumbung Pengabdian Kesehatan (JLP) accepts manuscripts in the form of community service articles. The manuscript should describe real community service activities, including background problems, objectives, methods, implementation, results, discussion, evaluation, and impact on the target community.

The journal welcomes manuscripts related to:

  1. Health education and counseling;
  2. Health promotion and disease prevention;
  3. Community empowerment in the health sector;
  4. Pharmacy education and rational drug use;
  5. Traditional medicine and self-medication education;
  6. Public health programs;
  7. Nutrition and healthy lifestyle education;
  8. Environmental health and sanitation;
  9. Training and mentoring of health cadres or community groups;
  10. Health screening and early detection programs;
  11. Development of health education media or technology;
  12. Other community service activities relevant to health.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system of Lumbung Pengabdian Kesehatan (JLP). Authors need to register or log in to the journal website before submitting a manuscript.

The general submission steps are:

  1. Register or log in to the journal website;
  2. Start a new submission;
  3. Select the appropriate article section;
  4. Upload the manuscript file;
  5. Fill in article metadata, including title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, and references;
  6. Upload supplementary files if required;
  7. Confirm and complete the submission.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all metadata entered into the OJS system is accurate and complete.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will be screened by the editorial team to assess their suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, manuscript format, similarity level, and compliance with publication ethics. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to reviewers through a single-blind peer review process.

The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection is made by the editorial board based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial considerations.

Revision

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to comments and suggestions from reviewers and editors. Revised manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS system within the time specified by the editorial team.

Authors should respond to reviewer comments carefully, clearly, and professionally. Failure to submit revisions within the specified time may result in withdrawal or rejection of the manuscript.

Publication Ethics

Authors must comply with the journal’s publication ethics. Authors are responsible for ensuring originality, avoiding plagiarism, reporting data honestly, acknowledging all contributors properly, declaring conflicts of interest, and respecting the privacy and consent of participants or community partners involved in the activity.

Any form of plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, data falsification, improper authorship, or unethical publication practice may result in rejection or retraction of the article.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors are required to complete the copyright agreement form when requested by the editorial office. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree that the article may be published, distributed, and archived by Lumbung Pengabdian Kesehatan (JLP) through its official online platform.

Publication Fee

Authors should refer to the journal’s Price Policy page for information about article submission charges, article processing charges, and other publication-related fees. Payment, if applicable, is made only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Communication with Editorial Office

All communication regarding submission, review, revision, acceptance, and publication should be conducted through the OJS system or the official contact of Lumbung Pengabdian Kesehatan (JLP).

Authors are advised to regularly check their email and OJS account to monitor the progress of their manuscript.
