Peer Review Process
Journal of Information Technology and System Integration (JITSI) implements a Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of published articles.
In the double-blind review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.
Review Procedure
1. Initial Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the JITSI Online Submission System.
2. Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor conducts an initial evaluation to assess:
- Relevance to the journal's scope
- Compliance with author guidelines
- Originality and scientific merit
- Completeness of manuscript components
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal requirements may be rejected before peer review.
3. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software.
JITSI only considers manuscripts with a similarity index of 20% or below, excluding references and properly cited quotations.
4. Double-Blind Peer Review
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers evaluate:
- Originality
- Scientific contribution
- Research methodology
- Technical quality
- Clarity of presentation
- Validity of conclusions
- Relevance to the journal scope
5. Review Decision
Based on reviewers' recommendations, the editor may decide:
- Accept Submission
- Revisions Required
- Resubmit for Review
- Decline Submission
6. Author Revision
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers' comments and submit the revised version within the specified period.
7. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewers' recommendations and the quality of revisions.
8. Copyediting and Production
Accepted manuscripts proceed to:
- Copyediting
- Layout Editing
- Proofreading
- Final Publication
Review Timeline
The average review process is as follows:
