SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

Before submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Biology and Microbiology (JAPBM), authors must ensure that all requirements below have been fulfilled.

This page provides guidance for preparing a submission. Authors will also be required to confirm the official Submission Preparation Checklist during the online submission process.

1. ORIGINALITY AND EXCLUSIVE SUBMISSION

The manuscript is original, has not been formally published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.

Any previous dissemination as a preprint, thesis, dissertation, conference abstract, institutional-repository document, or research report must be disclosed in the Comments to the Editor.

2. SUITABILITY WITH THE JOURNAL

The manuscript is relevant to the Aim and Scope of JAPBM and has been submitted to the appropriate article section.

Authors should review the journal’s scope before submission. Manuscripts outside the fields of pharmaceutical biology, pharmaceutical microbiology, natural products, medicinal plants, microbial biotechnology, antimicrobial research, and related pharmaceutical sciences may be declined without external review.

3. LANGUAGE, TEMPLATE, AND FILE FORMAT

The manuscript:

• Is written in clear academic English.
• Uses the current JAPBM manuscript template.
• Complies with the Author Guidelines.
• Is submitted in an editable Microsoft Word DOC or DOCX format.
• Uses consistent formatting throughout the document.

4. DOUBLE-ANONYMOUS PEER REVIEW

The manuscript has been prepared for double-anonymous peer review.

The following information has been removed from the review manuscript:

• Names and academic titles of authors.
• Institutional affiliations.
• Email addresses.
• ORCID iDs.
• Acknowledgments.
• Named author-contribution statements.
• Information that directly reveals the identity of the authors.
• Identifying information in file names, comments, tracked changes, and document properties.

Complete author information must be entered separately in the OJS metadata.

5. AUTHORSHIP INFORMATION

The following information has been entered accurately for every author:

• Full name.
• Institutional affiliation.
• Department or study program.
• City and country.
• Active email address.
• ORCID iD, where available.
• Author contribution.
• Corresponding-author status.

The order of authors in OJS must be identical to the order approved by all authors.

All listed authors must meet the authorship criteria and must have approved the submitted manuscript.

6. TITLE, ABSTRACT, AND KEYWORDS

The title is concise, specific, and representative of the study.

The abstract accurately summarizes:

• The background or objective.
• The methods.
• The principal results.
• The conclusion.

The manuscript and OJS metadata contain 3–6 relevant keywords in English.

7. RESEARCH ETHICS AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

The research complies with all applicable ethical, legal, institutional, biosafety, biosecurity, and biodiversity requirements.

Where applicable, the manuscript includes:

• Name of the ethics committee.
• Ethical approval or exemption number.
• Informed-consent statement.
• Clinical-trial registration.
• Animal-use approval.
• Biosafety approval.
• Collection or research permit.
• Material-transfer permit.
• Voucher specimen, strain, culture-collection, or accession information.

Relevant ethical and regulatory documents have been uploaded as supporting files.

8. FUNDING, ACKNOWLEDGMENTS, AND COMPETING INTERESTS

All financial and institutional support has been disclosed.

The manuscript contains:

• Name of the funder or supporting institution.
• Grant or contract number, where applicable.
• Role of the funder, where relevant.
• Acknowledgments.
• A competing-interest statement.

When no competing interest exists, authors may state:

“The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest.”

9. RESEARCH INTEGRITY

The manuscript contains no:

• Plagiarism.
• Fabrication or falsification.
• Duplicate or redundant publication.
• Inappropriate text recycling.
• Misleading data presentation.
• Inappropriate image manipulation.
• Citation manipulation.
• Undisclosed authorship or contributor problems.

The authors are prepared to provide original data, images, laboratory records, statistical outputs, or other supporting evidence when reasonably requested by the editor.

10. DATA AVAILABILITY

A Data Availability Statement has been included in the manuscript.

The statement explains whether the supporting data:

• Are included in the article or supplementary files.
• Are available in a recognized repository.
• May be obtained from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
• Are restricted because of privacy, confidentiality, ethics, biodiversity protection, intellectual property, or legal requirements.

11. USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Artificial intelligence tools have not been listed as authors.

Any substantive use of generative artificial intelligence in writing, translation, coding, image generation, data processing, or analysis has been disclosed transparently.

The authors have independently verified all AI-assisted content and remain fully responsible for its accuracy, originality, references, confidentiality, and ethical compliance.

Artificial intelligence has not been used to fabricate data, references, images, participants, methods, or results.

12. TABLES, FIGURES, AND THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS

All tables and figures:

• Are numbered consecutively.
• Are cited in the text.
• Have clear titles or captions.
• Are readable and scientifically accurate.
• Are submitted in an appropriate format and resolution.
• Do not unnecessarily duplicate information in the text.

Permission has been obtained for copyrighted tables, figures, photographs, instruments, or other third-party materials.

13. REFERENCES

The references:

• Are complete and accurate.
• Follow the JAPBM Vancouver reference style.
• Are numbered according to the order of citation.
• Include DOI numbers where available.
• Include stable URLs and access dates where appropriate.
• Are relevant to the subject of the manuscript.
• Are consistent between the manuscript and OJS metadata.

Each reference should be entered on a separate line in the OJS References metadata field.

14. SUPPLEMENTARY AND SUPPORTING FILES

All relevant supporting documents have been uploaded using the appropriate submission-file component, including where applicable:

• Supplementary tables and figures.
• Detailed methods or protocols.
• Research instruments.
• Data sets.
• Statistical syntax or analytical files.
• Ethical approval documents.
• Reporting checklists.
• High-resolution figures.
• Multimedia files.
• Other supporting documents.

Files must be clearly named and must not contain unnecessary personal or confidential information.

15. FINAL AUTHOR CONFIRMATION

Before completing the submission, the corresponding author confirms that:

• All authors have reviewed and approved the submitted version.
• All authors accept responsibility for the integrity of the work.
• The author list and sequence have been approved.
• The manuscript and metadata are complete and consistent.
• The submission complies with the Author Guidelines.
• All ethical and legal requirements have been fulfilled.
• Funding and competing interests have been disclosed.
• The authors agree to the Copyright Notice, Open Access Statement, Publication Ethics, and applicable CC BY 4.0 license.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Authors must register and log in to the JAPBM online submission system. During submission, authors are required to:

1. Select the appropriate article section.
2. Confirm all checklist items.
3. Upload the anonymized manuscript.
4. Upload supporting and ethical documents where applicable.
5. Enter complete manuscript and author metadata.
6. Review all information before completing the submission.

Submissions that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to the corresponding author before editorial assessment. /

DAFTAR PERIKSA PERSIAPAN PENGIRIMAN

Sebelum mengirimkan naskah ke Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Biology and Microbiology (JAPBM), penulis harus memastikan bahwa seluruh persyaratan berikut telah dipenuhi.

Halaman ini merupakan panduan untuk menyiapkan pengiriman. Penulis juga wajib mengonfirmasi Daftar Periksa Persiapan Pengiriman resmi selama proses pengiriman naskah secara daring.

1. ORISINALITAS DAN PENGIRIMAN EKSKLUSIF

Naskah bersifat asli, belum pernah diterbitkan secara formal, dan tidak sedang dipertimbangkan oleh jurnal lain.

Penyebarluasan sebelumnya dalam bentuk pracetak, tesis, disertasi, abstrak konferensi, dokumen repositori institusi, atau laporan penelitian harus diungkapkan pada kolom Komentar untuk Editor.

2. KESESUAIAN DENGAN JURNAL

Naskah sesuai dengan Tujuan dan Ruang Lingkup JAPBM serta telah dikirimkan pada bagian artikel yang tepat.

Penulis harus mempelajari ruang lingkup jurnal sebelum melakukan pengiriman. Naskah yang tidak berkaitan dengan biologi farmasi, mikrobiologi farmasi, bahan alam, tanaman obat, bioteknologi mikroba, penelitian antimikroba, dan ilmu kefarmasian terkait dapat ditolak tanpa penelaahan eksternal.

3. BAHASA, TEMPLAT, DAN FORMAT BERKAS

Naskah:

• Ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris akademik yang jelas.
• Menggunakan templat JAPBM terbaru.
• Mematuhi Pedoman Penulis.
• Dikirim dalam format Microsoft Word DOC atau DOCX yang dapat diedit.
• Menggunakan format yang konsisten di seluruh dokumen.

4. PENELAAHAN SEJAWAT ANONIM GANDA

Naskah telah disiapkan untuk penelaahan sejawat anonim ganda.

Informasi berikut telah dihapus dari naskah telaah:

• Nama dan gelar akademik penulis.
• Afiliasi institusi.
• Alamat email.
• ORCID iD.
• Ucapan terima kasih.
• Pernyataan kontribusi yang mencantumkan nama penulis.
• Informasi lain yang secara langsung mengungkapkan identitas penulis.
• Informasi identitas pada nama berkas, komentar, Track Changes, dan properti dokumen.

Informasi lengkap penulis dimasukkan secara terpisah melalui metadata OJS.

5. INFORMASI KEPENGARANGAN

Informasi berikut telah dimasukkan secara akurat untuk setiap penulis:

• Nama lengkap.
• Afiliasi institusi.
• Departemen atau program studi.
• Kota dan negara.
• Alamat email aktif.
• ORCID iD apabila tersedia.
• Kontribusi penulis.
• Status penulis korespondensi.

Urutan penulis dalam OJS harus sama dengan urutan yang telah disetujui oleh seluruh penulis.

Seluruh penulis harus memenuhi kriteria kepengarangan dan telah menyetujui naskah yang dikirimkan.

6. JUDUL, ABSTRAK, DAN KATA KUNCI

Judul telah disusun secara ringkas, spesifik, dan mewakili isi penelitian.

Abstrak telah merangkum secara akurat:

• Latar belakang atau tujuan.
• Metode.
• Hasil utama.
• Kesimpulan.

Naskah dan metadata OJS telah dilengkapi dengan 3–6 kata kunci yang relevan dalam bahasa Inggris.

7. ETIKA PENELITIAN DAN PERSYARATAN REGULASI

Penelitian telah mematuhi seluruh persyaratan etik, hukum, institusi, biosafety, biosecurity, dan biodiversitas yang berlaku.

Apabila relevan, naskah memuat:

• Nama komite etik.
• Nomor persetujuan atau pembebasan etik.
• Pernyataan informed consent.
• Registrasi uji klinis.
• Persetujuan penggunaan hewan.
• Persetujuan biosafety.
• Izin koleksi atau penelitian.
• Izin transfer material.
• Informasi spesimen voucher, galur, koleksi kultur, atau nomor akses.

Dokumen etik dan regulasi yang relevan telah diunggah sebagai berkas pendukung.

8. PENDANAAN, UCAPAN TERIMA KASIH, DAN KONFLIK KEPENTINGAN

Seluruh dukungan finansial dan institusional telah diungkapkan.

Naskah telah memuat:

• Nama pemberi dana atau institusi pendukung.
• Nomor hibah atau kontrak apabila tersedia.
• Peran pemberi dana apabila relevan.
• Ucapan terima kasih.
• Pernyataan konflik kepentingan.

Apabila tidak terdapat konflik kepentingan, penulis dapat menyatakan:

“The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest.”

9. INTEGRITAS PENELITIAN

Naskah tidak mengandung:

• Plagiarisme.
• Fabrikasi atau falsifikasi.
• Publikasi ganda atau berlebihan.
• Daur ulang teks yang tidak tepat.
• Penyajian data yang menyesatkan.
• Manipulasi gambar yang tidak dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.
• Manipulasi sitasi.
• Masalah kepengarangan atau kontribusi yang tidak diungkapkan.

Penulis bersedia memberikan data asli, gambar, catatan laboratorium, keluaran statistik, atau bukti pendukung lainnya apabila diminta secara wajar oleh editor.

10. KETERSEDIAAN DATA

Pernyataan Ketersediaan Data telah dicantumkan dalam naskah.

Pernyataan tersebut menjelaskan apakah data pendukung:

• Telah dicantumkan dalam artikel atau materi tambahan.
• Tersedia pada repositori yang diakui.
• Dapat diperoleh dari penulis korespondensi berdasarkan permintaan yang wajar.
• Dibatasi karena privasi, kerahasiaan, etik, perlindungan biodiversitas, kekayaan intelektual, atau ketentuan hukum.

11. PENGGUNAAN KECERDASAN ARTIFISIAL

Perangkat kecerdasan artifisial tidak dicantumkan sebagai penulis.

Setiap penggunaan substantif AI generatif dalam penulisan, penerjemahan, pemrograman, pembuatan gambar, pengolahan data, atau analisis telah diungkapkan secara transparan.

Seluruh materi berbantuan AI telah diverifikasi secara independen dan tetap menjadi tanggung jawab penulis dalam hal akurasi, orisinalitas, referensi, kerahasiaan, dan kepatuhan etik.

AI tidak digunakan untuk membuat data, referensi, gambar, peserta, metode, atau hasil palsu.

12. TABEL, GAMBAR, DAN MATERI PIHAK KETIGA

Seluruh tabel dan gambar:

• Telah diberi nomor secara berurutan.
• Telah disebutkan dalam teks.
• Memiliki judul atau keterangan yang jelas.
• Mudah dibaca dan akurat secara ilmiah.
• Dikirim dalam format dan resolusi yang sesuai.
• Tidak mengulang informasi dalam teks secara tidak diperlukan.

Izin penggunaan telah diperoleh untuk tabel, gambar, foto, instrumen, atau materi pihak ketiga yang dilindungi hak cipta.

13. DAFTAR PUSTAKA

Daftar pustaka:

• Telah lengkap dan akurat.
• Mengikuti gaya Vancouver JAPBM.
• Diberi nomor berdasarkan urutan sitasi.
• Memuat DOI apabila tersedia.
• Memuat URL permanen dan tanggal akses apabila relevan.
• Relevan dengan topik naskah.
• Konsisten antara naskah dan metadata OJS.

Setiap referensi harus dimasukkan pada baris terpisah dalam kolom metadata Referensi OJS.

14. MATERI TAMBAHAN DAN BERKAS PENDUKUNG

Seluruh dokumen pendukung yang relevan telah diunggah menggunakan komponen berkas yang sesuai, termasuk apabila tersedia:

• Tabel dan gambar tambahan.
• Metode atau protokol terperinci.
• Instrumen penelitian.
• Data penelitian.
• Syntax statistik atau berkas analisis.
• Dokumen persetujuan etik.
• Checklist pelaporan.
• Gambar beresolusi tinggi.
• Berkas multimedia.
• Dokumen pendukung lainnya.

Berkas harus diberi nama yang jelas dan tidak boleh memuat informasi pribadi atau rahasia yang tidak diperlukan.

15. KONFIRMASI AKHIR PENULIS

Sebelum menyelesaikan pengiriman, penulis korespondensi menyatakan bahwa:

• Seluruh penulis telah membaca dan menyetujui versi naskah yang dikirimkan.
• Seluruh penulis bersedia bertanggung jawab atas integritas karya.
• Daftar dan urutan penulis telah disetujui.
• Naskah serta metadata telah lengkap dan konsisten.
• Naskah mematuhi Pedoman Penulis.
• Seluruh persyaratan etik dan hukum telah dipenuhi.
• Pendanaan dan konflik kepentingan telah diungkapkan.
• Penulis menyetujui Copyright Notice, Open Access Statement, Publication Ethics, dan lisensi CC BY 4.0 yang berlaku.

PROSES PENGIRIMAN

Penulis harus melakukan registrasi dan masuk ke sistem pengiriman daring JAPBM. Selama proses pengiriman, penulis wajib:

1. Memilih bagian artikel yang sesuai.
2. Mengonfirmasi seluruh item dalam checklist.
3. Mengunggah naskah anonim.
4. Mengunggah dokumen pendukung dan dokumen etik apabila relevan.
5. Mengisi metadata naskah dan penulis secara lengkap.
6. Memeriksa seluruh informasi sebelum menyelesaikan pengiriman.

Pengiriman yang tidak memenuhi ketentuan tersebut dapat dikembalikan kepada penulis korespondensi sebelum menjalani penilaian editorial.
