INFORMATION FOR LIBRARIANS

The Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Biology and Microbiology (JAPBM) welcomes librarians, repository managers, research-information specialists, and institutional administrators to include the journal in library catalogues, electronic-journal collections, discovery systems, institutional repositories, subject guides, and other scholarly-information services.

JAPBM is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published and managed by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram, Indonesia.

2. OPEN-ACCESS POLICY

JAPBM provides immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles.

Libraries and readers are not required to pay subscription, registration, access, or article-download fees.

Published articles may be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, linked, preserved, and reused in accordance with the applicable CC BY 4.0 license.

There is no embargo period for published content.

3. LIBRARY CATALOGUING

Libraries are encouraged to include JAPBM in:

• Online Public Access Catalogues.
• Electronic-journal databases.
• Institutional discovery systems.
• Subject guides and research guides.
• Open-access resource collections.
• Faculty and departmental reading lists.
• Pharmaceutical and biomedical journal directories.

When creating a catalogue record, librarians should use the official journal title, abbreviation, publisher information, website address, ISSN, publication frequency, and access-status information displayed on the JAPBM website.

Bibliographic information should be updated when the journal receives an official ISSN, DOI registration, indexing status, or other publication identifiers.

4. ARTICLE METADATA

JAPBM provides structured article metadata through its Open Journal Systems platform.

Article metadata may include:

• Article title.
• Author names.
• Institutional affiliations.
• Abstract.
• Keywords.
• Publication date.
• Volume and issue.
• Page range or article number.
• References.
• Funding information.
• License information.
• DOI or other permanent identifier, when available.
• Article-file links.

Libraries, catalogues, indexing services, and repositories may use the journal’s metadata to support discovery, citation, preservation, and scholarly communication.

5. OAI-PMH AND METADATA HARVESTING

The JAPBM website uses Open Journal Systems, which supports metadata interoperability and harvesting through the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting.

Libraries and repository services may use the journal’s OAI-PMH interface where available and technically supported.

Before registering or harvesting the journal, librarians should verify that the endpoint is active and that the metadata records are complete.

6. INSTITUTIONAL REPOSITORIES

Authors may deposit the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, and published version of their articles in institutional or subject repositories in accordance with the JAPBM Copyright Notice and Open Access Statement.

Libraries and repositories may:

• Link to the official article page.
• Store an authorized version of the article.
• Record complete bibliographic metadata.
• Include the DOI or permanent article URL.
• Identify JAPBM as the place of first publication.
• Preserve the applicable copyright and license information.

Repository records should not remove or alter authorship, journal identity, DOI, copyright, license, correction, or retraction information.

7. COPYRIGHT AND REUSE

Copyright remains with the author or authors.

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License unless otherwise stated for particular third-party materials.

Libraries may reproduce, distribute, archive, and provide access to published articles, provided that:

• Appropriate credit is given to the authors.
• JAPBM is identified as the original publication source.
• The official article URL or DOI is included where available.
• A link to the CC BY 4.0 license is provided.
• Any changes to the original material are clearly indicated.

Third-party material may be subject to separate copyright conditions stated in the relevant credit line.

8. DIGITAL PRESERVATION

JAPBM is committed to maintaining the accessibility and integrity of its published content.

The journal seeks to support preservation through:

• Persistent identifiers where available.

9. INDEXING AND ABSTRACTING INFORMATION

JAPBM will display indexing and abstracting information only after official inclusion has been confirmed and independently verified.

The appearance of a journal title on an unofficial website should not be treated as proof of indexing, accreditation, ranking, or database coverage.

10. CORRECTIONS, RETRACTIONS, AND VERSION CONTROL

Libraries and repositories should consult the official article page to determine whether an article has been:

• Corrected.
• Updated.
• Accompanied by an editorial notice.
• Subject to an Expression of Concern.
• Retracted.

Correction and retraction notices should be linked to the original record whenever possible.

Libraries are encouraged to update catalogue and repository records when a post-publication notice is issued.

Retracted articles should not normally be deleted from scholarly records. They should remain identifiable and be clearly marked as retracted.

11. JOURNAL ACCESS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

JAPBM does not require paid subscriptions.

Libraries are not charged for:

• Accessing the journal website.
• Reading abstracts.
• Downloading full-text articles.
• Accessing archives.
• Linking to published content.
• Receiving journal notifications.
• Including JAPBM in institutional catalogues.

JAPBM does not authorize third parties to sell access to its open-access articles.

12. RECOMMENDING JAPBM

Librarians may recommend JAPBM to:

• Students.
• Lecturers.
• Researchers.
• Pharmaceutical scientists.
• Microbiologists.
• Pharmacognosy and natural-product researchers.
• Health professionals.

15. REPORTING METADATA OR ACCESS PROBLEMS

Librarians are encouraged to contact JAPBM when they identify:

JAPBM tidak menerapkan masa embargo terhadap konten yang telah diterbitkan.

Perpustakaan disarankan mencantumkan JAPBM dalam:

Informasi bibliografis perlu diperbarui setelah jurnal memperoleh ISSN resmi, registrasi DOI, status pengindeksan, atau identitas publikasi lainnya.

JAPBM menyediakan metadata artikel yang terstruktur melalui platform Open Journal Systems.

Metadata artikel dapat mencakup:

• Judul artikel.
• Nama penulis.
• Afiliasi institusi.
• Abstrak.
• Kata kunci.
• Tanggal publikasi.
• Volume dan nomor.
• Rentang halaman atau nomor artikel.
• Referensi.
• Informasi pendanaan.
• Informasi lisensi.
• DOI atau pengenal permanen lain apabila tersedia.
• Tautan berkas artikel.

Perpustakaan, katalog, lembaga pengindeks, dan repositori dapat menggunakan metadata jurnal untuk mendukung penelusuran, sitasi, preservasi, dan komunikasi ilmiah.

5. OAI-PMH DAN PENGAMBILAN METADATA

Situs JAPBM menggunakan Open Journal Systems yang mendukung interoperabilitas dan pengambilan metadata melalui Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting.

Perpustakaan dan layanan repositori dapat menggunakan antarmuka OAI-PMH jurnal apabila telah tersedia dan berfungsi secara teknis.

Perpustakaan dan repositori dapat:

• Mencatat metadata bibliografis secara lengkap.

• Menyatakan JAPBM sebagai tempat penerbitan pertama.

Rekaman repositori tidak boleh menghapus atau mengubah kepengarangan, identitas jurnal, DOI, hak cipta, lisensi, koreksi, maupun informasi pencabutan.

7. HAK CIPTA DAN PENGGUNAAN KEMBALI

Hak cipta tetap dimiliki oleh penulis.

Artikel diterbitkan berdasarkan Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, kecuali dinyatakan lain untuk materi tertentu milik pihak ketiga.

Perpustakaan dapat memperbanyak, mendistribusikan, mengarsipkan, dan menyediakan akses terhadap artikel dengan ketentuan:

JAPBM berkomitmen menjaga ketersediaan dan integritas konten yang diterbitkan.

Jurnal berupaya mendukung preservasi melalui:

9. INFORMASI PENGINDEKSAN DAN ABSTRAKSI

JAPBM hanya akan menampilkan informasi pengindeksan dan abstraksi setelah pencantuman resmi telah dikonfirmasi dan dapat diverifikasi secara independen.

Perpustakaan harus memeriksa halaman Pengindeksan dan Abstraksi resmi untuk memperoleh informasi terbaru.

Kemunculan nama jurnal pada situs tidak resmi tidak dapat dianggap sebagai bukti pengindeksan, akreditasi, pemeringkatan, atau cakupan basis data.

10. KOREKSI, PENCABUTAN, DAN KENDALI VERSI

Perpustakaan dan repositori perlu membuka halaman artikel resmi untuk memastikan apakah suatu artikel telah:

• Dikoreksi.
• Diperbarui.
• Dilengkapi pemberitahuan editorial.
• Diberi Expression of Concern.
• Dicabut.

Pemberitahuan koreksi dan pencabutan perlu ditautkan dengan rekaman artikel asli apabila memungkinkan.

Perpustakaan disarankan memperbarui rekaman katalog dan repositori ketika terdapat pemberitahuan pascapublikasi.

Artikel yang dicabut pada umumnya tidak dihapus dari rekam ilmiah. Artikel tersebut tetap dipertahankan dan ditandai secara jelas sebagai artikel yang telah dicabut.

11. AKSES JURNAL DAN LANGGANAN

JAPBM tidak mewajibkan langganan berbayar.

Perpustakaan tidak dikenakan biaya untuk:

• Mengakses situs jurnal.
• Membaca abstrak.
• Mengunduh artikel lengkap.
• Mengakses arsip.
• Menautkan konten yang diterbitkan.
• Menerima pemberitahuan jurnal.
• Mencantumkan JAPBM dalam katalog institusi.

JAPBM tidak memberikan kewenangan kepada pihak ketiga untuk menjual akses terhadap artikel akses terbukanya.

12. MEREKOMENDASIKAN JAPBM

Pustakawan dapat merekomendasikan JAPBM kepada:

• Mahasiswa.
• Dosen.
• Peneliti.
• Ilmuwan farmasi.
• Ahli mikrobiologi.
• Peneliti farmakognosi dan bahan alam.
• Tenaga kesehatan.
• Kantor penelitian.
• Program studi dan fakultas.

Jurnal ini dapat dimasukkan dalam koleksi farmasi, ilmu kefarmasian, biologi, mikrobiologi, bioteknologi, bahan alam, farmakognosi, ilmu biomedis, dan bidang terkait.

13. REGISTRASI SEBAGAI PEMBACA

Pustakawan dapat melakukan registrasi sebagai pembaca untuk menerima:

• Pemberitahuan edisi baru.
• Daftar Isi.
• Pengumuman jurnal.
• Informasi publikasi lain melalui OJS.

Registrasi tidak dipungut biaya.

14. PRIVASI

Informasi pribadi yang dimasukkan dalam situs JAPBM hanya digunakan untuk kepentingan pengelolaan jurnal, publikasi, komunikasi ilmiah, dan pemberitahuan yang sah.

Nama dan alamat email tidak akan digunakan untuk kepentingan komersial yang tidak terkait.

15. MELAPORKAN MASALAH METADATA ATAU AKSES

Pustakawan disarankan menghubungi JAPBM apabila menemukan:

• Metadata jurnal yang tidak tepat.
• Kesalahan nama penulis atau afiliasi.

• Berkas yang hilang atau tidak dapat diakses.
• Informasi DOI yang tidak konsisten.
• Kesalahan informasi hak cipta atau lisensi.
• Masalah pengambilan metadata OAI-PMH.
• Kesalahan status koreksi atau pencabutan.
• Informasi pengindeksan yang menyesatkan.

Laporan sebaiknya memuat:

• URL halaman atau artikel yang bermasalah.
• Judul artikel atau rekaman jurnal.
